Introduction

Dr. Ashwini Bhalerao Gandhi is a Full time Hospital Based Consultant in Gynaecology with P. D. Hinduja National Hospital and Research Center, Mahim Mumbai since 11 years. She has more than 27 years of clinical experience.
In her previous appointments she served as Associate Professor and Examiner of PG & UG programmes in Obstetrics & Gynaecology at T.N. Medical College & B.Y.L. Nair Hospital, Mumbai.
She has to her credit many publications in indexed journals and is a editor to various publications. She has authored and co-authored many chapters in books. She also has many presentations as a delegate, speaker, resource person and facutly at various conferences, workshops and seminars. She also has held positions of Chairperson in various committees, like MOGS, FOGSI, IMA, etc.
She is actively involved in various aspects of social obstetrics and gynaecology and has contributed towards Community-projects for women,
She also aids to health education programmes via radio and TV on Women’s Health issues. e.g. – Family Planning, Population Explosion, High Risk Pregnancy, Adolescent Reproductive Health, ANC-PNC Care, Blood Donation, Safe Motherhood etc.

She was one of the three women medical practitioners from India invited by the American Centre.
